Mac OSX QuickTime 7.x Preferences and Trouble Shooting.
- If the Videos are opening slowly or not at all, open QuickTime Player then click on QuickTime Player in the menu bar to open menu. Click on QuickTime Preferences and a dialog box will open. First click on the Browser Tab and select "Play movies automatically". Next click on the Streaming Tab and select "Enable instant-on" and move the play slider to "immediately" (you can change to a delay if movie is jerking). Next click on the Advanced Tab and open the MIME settings and be sure the "QuickTime Movie" under the "video - video only and video with audio file formats" is checked.
- If you are using the Safari Browser with QuickTime 7.x and only the audio portion plays with no video try the following solution: Open the "HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins" folder and drag the "QuickTime Plugin.webplugin" to your Desktop, then quit and relaunch Safari and try the page again. If this does not solve the conflict perform a "Get info" on the Safari app and turn off Rosetta, then quit and relaunch Safari.
